Dr. Huang specializes in the application of economic theory, econometrics, and statistical methods to complex litigation and business questions. He has conducted economic analysis in the areas of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), financial instruments, cryptocurrency, health care, insurance, and intellectual property. Examples of Dr. Huang’s work include valuation in the context of M&A transactions and bankruptcy proceedings; damages estimation in connection with patent infringement, securities fraud, bond restructuring, and cryptocurrency offering; and identification and quantification of insurance fraud through claims sampling and extrapolation. He has extensive experience working with large datasets such as insurance claims, trading records, and corporate transactions.
