Summary of Experience
Mr. Vasdeboncoeur is a consulting economist who specializes in securities and finance, as well as in assessing injury in antitrust and competition matters. His finance experience includes interest rate derivatives markets, the foreign exchange (FX) market, and shareholder litigation. In his work on USA v. Richard Usher, et al., Mr. Vasdeboncoeur analyzed FX trade and chat data, prepared an academic expert for testimony at trial, and provided data analyses and consulting support to counsel throughout the proceedings. He has also worked on securities litigation matters related to accounting misstatements, including valuing and assessing claims in the context of settlement discussions. Mr. Vasdeboncoeur led a team that developed a valuation model template that has been applied to several cases dealing with municipal debt market failures. He has also analyzed alleged collusion in the private equity industry, including the assessment of leveraged buyout models. Mr. Vasdeboncoeur’s work spans multiple industries, including banking, insurance, technology, automobiles, and consumer goods.
