SEC Investigation into Accounting and Disclosure Practices
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) closed its four-year investigation into Analysis Group client Keurig Green Mountain Inc.'s accounting and disclosure practices without recommending an enforcement action, according to the coffee products and brewing equipment maker. No actions will be taken against current or former employees of the company, which had been voluntarily cooperating with the SEC in its investigation since September 2010.
An Analysis Group team, led by affiliates Laura Stamm and Elizabeth Eccher, was retained by Ropes & Gray on behalf of Keurig Green Mountain to support academic affiliate and Ohio State University Fisher College of Business Professor J. Richard Dietrich in his analysis of complex accounting rules and the company's compliance with these rules. Professor Dietrich, who previously served as an academic fellow with the SEC, accompanied representatives of Keurig Green Mountain and Ropes & Gray to present his findings to the SEC's Division of Enforcement.
